NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It wasn't an act that brought out protesters, it was the advertisement.
“Little People of America” supporters staged a protest at Deja Vu downtown.
The gentlemen's club has been set to host an event featuring little-people wrestling, and an adult film star who has called herself "Bridget the Midget."
Ads for the event said, "The Midgets are coming."
The group said that word has been derogatory and offensive, and they were demanding for it to be changed.
“It has nothing to do with the event,” said Shelly Deala of Little People of America, Chapter 49. “I mean those people are free to do whatever they want to do. It’s the commercials that were running during the middle of the day on radio and at night on television that were not okay.”
The show has been scheduled to run throughout the weekend.
