MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A rollover crash involving three vehicles closed North Mt. Juliet Road.

The wreck happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday when a Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 21-year-old male, hit a Ford C-Max head-on in the center turn lane, driven by a 33-year-old female.

Authorities said the Ford was stationary, waiting to turn at the time of the crash.

Officials said after hitting the Ford, the 4Runner began to roll and also barely struck a Dodge Challenger, driven by a 57-year-old female.

According to authorities, the 4Runner landed on its side. Two other passengers were inside, a 29-year-old female and 21-year-old female.

Officials said the driver of the 4Runner told them he fell asleep at the wheel due to working long hours. No serious injuries were reported.

The road was closed for about 40 minutes while the scene was cleared.
