Suspected Drunk Driver Wrecks Into Fire Station

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A suspected drunk driver was taken to the hospital after crashing into a fire station overnight.

The wreck happened at the Inglewood fire station around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said they suspect the driver was drinking or using drugs the moment she lost control of her car and slammed into the wall of Fire Station 29 on Gallatin Pike at Riverwood Drive.

The driver was treated for minor injuries. She was taken to Skyline Medical Hospital.

Authorities said luckily none of the emergency crews inside the station were hurt.

The suspect was expected to be charged with driving under the influence and booked into Metro jail.
