NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities are investigating after two suspects broke into a Bellevue convenience store by smashing their way inside and stealing cigarettes.

The same Mapco, located on US 70 South, was broken into in a similar way in the early morning hours of June 2 and this marked the third gas station broken into in recent weeks.

In each case, thousands of dollars' worth of cigarettes were stolen.

Officials with Metro Police said two men wearing gloves and masks used a rock to smash the glass door and get inside the building Wednesday morning.

They stole cigarettes from the store and fled the scene in a truck.

Police believe they were the same suspects who were seen on surveillance video breaking into a Shell Station on Elm Hill Pike.

They were in and out in less than 30 seconds and allegedly stole $4,500 worth of cigarettes there.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
