Traffic Slowed After Crash Involving Two Semis, Passenger Vehicles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One southbound lane and two northbound lanes of Interstate 65 have been closed after a crash involving two semis and several passenger vehicles.

The crash happened around noon Friday at mile marker 90 near the Briley Parkway interchange on the north loop.

Details about what led to the crash were not available, but an SUV appeared to be standing straight up into the air on its front end and sandwiched between the big rigs.

Information about possible injuries was not available.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the scene was expected to be cleared by 2 p.m.

Traffic was delayed in both directions as drivers worked to get around the scene.
