NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The woman accused in a deadly North Nashville crash that killed two men has been scheduled to appear in court next week.
Stephanie Lynn Ferguson was set to be arraigned in Criminal Court on May 6 on a multi-count indictment charging her with the deaths of 64-year-old Willie Nichols and 66-year-old Aaron Hall.
The 29-year-old was currently facing charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular homicide by recklessness, aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, vehicular assault, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license and making a false report to police.
On January 22, Nichols and Hall were sitting in Nichols’ Cadillac behind two other vehicles at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 3rd Avenue North when Ferguson allegedly struck them from behind.
Both were rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they were pronounced deceased.
At the time of the crash, Ferguson’s license was revoked. Earlier that day, Ferguson was convicted of DUI stemming from a December 2013 incident where the vehicle she was driving struck a house on Delaware Avenue.
Ferguson has been in jail since January 23 after being discharged from the hospital for violating the terms of her probation associated with a March 2014 DUI conviction.
She remains jailed on $500,000.
