Need a little inspiration to master flamingo pose during your yoga practice? Then grab your mat and head to the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas, where you can find your chill in the company of four real-life flamingo “ambassadors.”

The 1-year-old tropical wading birds — Baha, Indy, Lynden and Luca — aren’t mere spectators during the resort’s outdoor flamingo yoga class. They really throw themselves into the class, climbing all over the yogis as they go through their routine.

See for yourself in these pics one Baha Mar guest, Heather Hall, shared on Instagram.

“I wanted to create something unique where guests could walk away with a memory that was fun and something they couldn’t get anywhere else,” CFO (that’s Chief Flamingo Officer) Stacy Spurlock told Travel + Leisure. “Our yoga instructor is very comfortable around the flamingos and understands that the birds are very hands on. We let the yogis know that the birds will get on the towels, mats, hair and anything else they can find! Their beaks are like fingertips and whenever there’s something new, their curiosity takes over.”

According to Spurlock, the birds are especially keen on the yoga mats. “They love the sound it makes on their feet and the texture is fun to them,” she said. “The calm and centering that people get out of yoga, that’s what the flamingos get out of it as well.”

Baha Mar has 18 flamingos in total (it’s the national bird of the Bahamas) but Baha, Indy, Lynden and Luca — who can be seen below, flanking Hall as she balances in actual flamingo pose — are the busiest. As well as making yoga a lot more interesting, they regularly take part in daily parades to entertain guests.

Classes cost $40 per guest and take place every Wednesday morning.

If you plan to try flamingo yoga, why not go all out and get yourself the appropriate yoga accessories? We’re sure Baha, Indy, Lynden and Luca would approve of these yoga pants from Amazon.
