One week after announcing a reward would be offered for information about the whereabouts of Joe Clyde Daniels, the boy's father has been moved to a new prison facility and David Marshburn is still seeking answers.

Last week, attorney of defendant Joseph Daniels, who allegedly killed his son, Joe Clyde Daniels, asked a judge to move his client back to Dickson County jail after Daniels had lost a significant amount of weight  and had been stressed in his current facility. This appeal was denied for security reasons.

Later, a move to DeBerry Special Need Facility was approved.

As for the latest from Private Investigator, David Marshburn, he continues to work on the case.

Marshburn is continually exploring others who could be potential suspects in the case including Krystal Daniels, as he is not convinced that Joseph Daniels is indeed the killer.

Marshburn seems to agree with Joseph Daniels’ attorney who says Joseph’s confession was coerced. That will be argued in court. It is possible the confession could be thrown out.

If that happens, sources say prosecutors have no physical evidence linking the father to the death of his son.

The parents are currently scheduled to stand trial early next year.

Last week it was announced that a new reward is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of Joe Clyde Daniels.

Daniels, who disappeared from his Dickson County home back in April, is considered deceased. His father, Joseph Daniels, has been charged with killing his son.

To date, investigators have not yet located his remains.

Recently, well-known private investigator David Marshburn took up the case. He spent the past week in Dickson and is now back home in North Carolina.

New investigator looks into the case of missing Joe Clyde Daniels

Marshburn just announced that he and an associate are now posting a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the whereabouts of Joe Clyde.

The hope is this does produce some new leads on a search effort that has gone cold.

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information about this crime should contact TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
