MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was injured in what law enforcement believe was a drive-by shooting on Veterans Parkway on April 23.

Since then, detectives with the Rutherford County Sheriff's office have been searching for the person(s) responsible. A $10,000 reward is now being offered in the case for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the shooter.

Investigators say a 42-year-old Murfreesboro business owner was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after they believe she was shot by someone in another vehicle on the road.

“She has been in the trauma unit since the shooting,” said Detective Jamin Humphress in a press release. “We need your help to bring peace of mind to her that knowing whoever did this will be prosecuted.”

The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. April 23. The victim was driving her black Tesla on Veterans Parkway between State Route 96 West (Franklin Road) and the Kings Ridge subdivision.

Detectives say they have been working to find witnesses who may have been driving along the highway at that time and may have seen something related to the shooting as well as consulting with Tesla.

Anyone who may have noticed the black Tesla that morning or who may have information on the shooting was asked to call the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office or Detective Humphress at
