NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville rent continues to rise - so those who can - are looking to buy. Red Seal Homes' Area Sales Manager, Becca Cunningham, says the area in and around The Nations is the perfect place to buy your first home.

"We are trying to keep everything very central. Where we're building is not going to be any further than about 10-miles from Bridgestone arena," she said.

Red Seal Homes are builders banking on the west side, attracting buyers with a variety of finishes and customizable rooms.

"We are the only builder in town who has a show room," she said.

Cunningham says as Nashville continues to grow and rent continues to climb, would-be home buyers - specifically young women - are looking to purchase their first home before they get priced-out of the market.

"People are definitely starting to wake-up to the fact that the rental prices in Nashville continue to grow every year. They're actually increasing by about 6-percent every year," Cunningham said.

Laura Harvey is a first-time buyer.

"I think it's a fun mix of been a very exciting process also slightly intimidating," she said.

Harvey says The Nations feels like an up-and-coming area, with easy access to Downtown and new businesses opening all the time.

"It's a fun blend of young people who are entrepreneurs a lot of new trendy restaurants, places to go," she said.

Red Seal Reps agree and say the building boom will only continue.

"I think The Nations is blowing-up. It reminds me of 12 South five or six years ago," said Cunningham.
