NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — As National Weather Service officials continue to survey the damage, they say a total of six tornadoes swept through Middle Tennessee.
Strong storms hit the mid-state Wednesday night damaging, several homes and buildings.
NWS officials announced Thursday that an EF-1 tornado hit Lawrenceburg and an EF-0 tornado hit Bedford County.
On Friday, the number grew with preliminary reports of three more, two of which were in White County: EF1 White County (W/SW of Sparta), EF-1 White County (NE of Sparta), EF-0 Warren County.
By Sunday, NWS concluded its surveying and raised the number to six, adding an EF1 in Loretto. NWS said that tornado caused damage to the outfield wall at the Loretto Sports Complex.
