Armed robber takes purses and wedding ring set from women in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two women were robbed at gunpoint in East Nashville and the robber got away with their purses and jewelry, including a wedding ring.

According to Metro Police, the two women were walking to their car by The Shoppes on Fatherland Tuesday night when the robber approached them.

He demanded their purses and a wedding ring set at gunpoint.

He was described as a man about 5'8" tall, around 30 or 40 years old, and was wearing baggy clothes and sweat pants. According to the victims, he showed them a small black rusty gun.

The suspect was last seen running down Fatherland Street.

The victims are too traumatized to comment at this time, however one of the victim's husbands sent us a photo of the stolen items. He hopes to get the wedding ring set back. The rings are described as a white gold and diamond set.

The suspect also got away with a Madewell black leather purse with a strap as well as an ABLE brand burgundy leather wallet and pink leather change purse set.
