RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. (WTVF) — The bodies of a woman and two small children have been recovered after an overnight house fire in Macon County.

Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons confirmed they received a call of a house fire on Oak Grove Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

The father and a 6-year-old made it out of the home. Gammons said around 8 a.m., the bodies of a 2-year-old, a 5-year-old and their mother were recovered.

Family members identified the woman as 26-year-old Heather Reid.

Reid's older sister, Krystal Draper, says it's heartbreaking. She was just hanging out with her niece and nephew yesterday.

"Piper and Kamden are characters," said Draper, "Kamden would come here all the time while I was having coffee and he would call me 'Coo Coo' because he couldn't say my name. He would always go 'Coo Coo where's my cookies.'"

They have set up a GoFundMe to assist the family with funeral expenses.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but Sheriff Gammons said no foul play is expected. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and fire officials are investigating.
