CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Blake Thomas Ludy was arrested Sunday night after a shooting killed one person and injured another early Sunday morning at Rotary Park.

Police say Ludy, 23, was taken into custody by multiple law enforcement agencies in Greenbrier.

One person, identified as 19-year-old Jonathan Coleman Crain, of Greenbrier, Tenn., was killed. Investigators found his body in the woods. Another man, 18-year-old Jesus Daniel Andrad-Landa, of Springfield, Tenn., was treated and released. He's expected to be okay.

"This was at 4a.m. we don’t believe anybody else was in the park based on our first victim, he was able to give us a detailed idea of what occurred, and who was here," Lt. Steve Heise said.

Andrad-Landa told deputies the shooter was 23-year-old Blake Ludy. He has addresses in Greenbrier and Columbia, Tennessee. He's described as armed and dangerous.

"We do not believe he is in the near vicinity," Heise said, "We believe all 3 individuals knew each other, we don’t think this was random at all, so there really is no danger to the public and the citizens at this time in Montgomery County."

It's unclear why the suspect and victims were in the park in the first place. Motive has not been released.

"The park is normally closed at dusk til' daylight, but the gate was unlocked at this time, it wasn’t closed," Heise said.

Rotary Park was closed to the public on Sunday as deputies processed the crime scene. So far, there have been 10 homicides in Clarksville in 2019. This is the first homicide in Montgomery County in 2019 according to the sheriff's spokesperson.
