One of the busiest intersections in the entire state is scheduled to be shut down for a second weekend.
The intersection of Broad Street where Memorial Boulevard meets Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro will be shutdown again as state officials plan for a completely new interchange to be there by December.
TDOT said there will be access to businesses near the intersection throughout the weekend, but area businesses said they've taken a hit because of all the delayed construction.
"It has hurt us," said Bonnie Fakes, owner of DeHoff Christian Bookstore. "We don't get as much walk in brand new people as we used to."
The intersection in Murfreesboro is scheduled to re-open Monday at 5 a.m.
Last weekend's closure was scheduled for the entire weekend, but they finished about 5 p.m. Saturday and were able to reopen the intersection.
It was unclear if they would be able to open the road early this weekend.
