NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Parishioners are disappointed after a burglar broke into their Nolensville church and stole their equipment. The act was caught on camera.
Police have identified a suspect as 30-year-old Barron Brackett. Brackett is not currently in custody. Police describe Brackett as 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, with a short beard. He is believed to be driving a small white sedan.
According to police, Brackett kicked down the side door Saturday just after 2 a.m. A TV monitor and audio soundboard were stolen, in addition to pizza and drinks.
"A church is a place of comfort and peace to experience the lord and we would rather have them come in on front door in the morning then kick in on Saturday night," church member Dave Case said.
Case says he's just happy no one was inside when the incident happened. He says fixing the damage and replacing what was stolen will cost more than one thousand dollars. Despite the losses, Case says it will not get in the way of their Sunday services.
Anyone with information should contact Nolensville Police at (615) 776-3640 or Crimestoppers at (615) 794-4000.
