LEBANON, Tenn. – On Sunday, family and friends of a Wilson County Sheriff's Lieutenant have been set to hold a fundraiser to help pay for his medical bills.

For the last two and a half years, Lieutenant Bob Harrison has been fighting cancer.

While medical expenses have been piling up, friends, family, and community members have planned to hold a fundraiser at The Gun Room shooting range Sunday in Lebanon.

All the lane fees will go to help pay his medical bills. His family said it's a way to give back to a man who's given so much.

“I remember him often saying, in his police work, if you treat people with respect and don't step on their dignity, that will come back to you,” his brother David Harrison said.

In addition to the shooting range benefit Sunday, Harrison’s family has organized a team for the upcoming Sherry’s Run on September 12 at 8 a.m. and a motorcycle ride benefit at the Wilson County Fairgrounds on October 3 at 1 p.m.
