A fifteen year battle over a billboard near the Brentwood city limits has finally ended by changing it from a digital board to a standard one.
This billboard by Corky's Ribs and Barbeque at the intersection of Franklin Road and Old Hickory Boulevard has been the subject of much debate since it was put up in 2000.
While many in Brentwood opposed it from the beginning because of the city's sign ordinance, the debate heated up when Lamar Advertising changed the billboard to a digital format.
After multiple lawsuits and court dates involving both Metro and Brentwood, the Tennessee Supreme Court ruled the sign will be converted back to the standard style.
The change will happen in the next few months.
