NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is lucky to walk away unharmed after he says his car was shot at multiple times on I-24 East. Police say they're still looking for the suspect.
The man wants to remain anonymous due to safety reasons but tells us it happened on Tuesday near Spring Street, just before 9 p.m.
He says all of a sudden shots were fired at his Tesla from what appears to be a gold GMC SUV.
"I heard something crazy so I looked to my left and saw gunshots," the victim said, " it was literally like 6 feet away from my door because he was in the lane next to me."
The victim got off exit 47 and pulled over to look at the damage of his car. There were two bullet holes in his front door and two more in the back.
"I was just blown away like did this happen, I immediately called 911," the victim said.
He filed a police report and gave his videos and pictures to detectives.
Police say they're working to identify the driver, who appears to have been driving a gold/tan GMC Envoy.
The victim tells us he's thankful no one else was with him and that he was unharmed.
"I already got an estimate and the guy said if the bullets were two inches to the left, the lock mechanism wouldn't have stopped it and chances are the bullets would've hit my stomach," the victim said.
