A Nashville couple won a free wedding from a contest put on by Adventure Science Center and will have their big day on the big day.
Katie Iager and Dan Carroll were trying to decide when and where to have their wedding after getting engaged in late May. The couple made their case in a minute long video explaining why the day of the eclipse is perfect for them to say their wedding vows. After posting to the science center's Facebook page, the video went viral, gaining 17,000 shares and winning them a free wedding.
"I thought it would be cool to get married that day and it's going to be a memorable one for sure," said Iager. "We just had our hearts set on it from the beginning and did some research. So, it's like perfect for the two of us."
The wedding will be held in the galactic gardens on outside of the museum at 8:00 eclipse morning. Afterwards, the pair will join science center staff on the roof of the building to view the totality of the eclipse.
They said they're excited for the eclipse, and will remember the moment forever.
