Eclipse glasses became a hot commodity in the week prior to the total solar eclipse.
Thousands were recalled after being deemed unsafe:
- Metro Health Department Recall
- Tennessee State Museum Recall
- Vision Source Recall
- Williamson Co. Fair (VUMC) Recall
- Frist Center for the Visual Arts
Officials across the state have warned eclipse viewers about the importance of wearing glasses. Vanderbilt will even be opening a clinic in anticipation of eye damage victims.
Even if you don't have eclipse-safe glasses, there are many ways you can safely view the historical event.
