SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Electrolux has closed its Springfield plant for a second time after more employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The company first closed the plant for cleaning in early May when one employee tested positive for the virus.

This week, the company said it learned on Wednesday night two additional employees have tested positive. The factory was closed to sanitize and disinfect the building.

Electrolux said it will reopen the Springfield plant on Friday.
