An Endangered Child Alert has been canceled after two boys missing from Overton County were found safe.
Officials said four-year-old Jayce Evans and 3-year-old Jordan Evans were believed to have been taken by their mother, Tanya Evans.
Early Thursday morning, a warrant was issued for the mother for one count of child abuse and neglect. According to the Overton County Sheriff's Department, Tanya Evans was due to report to court Wednesday and didn't show up. The Sheriff's Department said Children's Services was due to take custody of her kids.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said both children were found safe in McMinn County. No additional details were known.
