The Tennessee Department of Transportation is using the weekend for more bridge work, but this time it's not in downtown Nashville. It will be impacting drivers in Sumner County.
The work will be on Vietnam Veterans Blvd; so if you travel between Hendersonville and Gallatin expect major slowdowns all weekend long.
TDOT is working on a larger resurfacing project between the Gallatin Pike overpass and Greenlea Blvd.
This week they'll concentrate on making repairs at the bridge. The road will remain open but expect alternating lane closures starting Friday at 8 p.m. - Monday morning right before rush hour.
You can always take Gallatin Pike, which is also called Nashville Hwy in the area, instead.
