NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The family of a teenager has written a letter to Metro Officer John Anderson’s family, offering their condolences over his death.
Anderson was killed in a fiery crash on July 4 after police say his patrol car was hit by Jayona Brown, a teen driver who they say was fleeing from an officer in a separate incident.
Brown’s family has written a letter to Anderson’s family, saying:
"I can't imagine the pain and sorrow your entire family must feel during this difficult time. I know nothing I say or do will ease your pain or mend your hearts. However, please accept my deepest condolences and apologies to your entire family. May God continue to surround you with love, support and friends to help you through this emotional time."
