A recent high school graduate was killed in a drive-by shooting on Interstate 24 in Davidson County.

Hours before Liliana Rodriguez's death Sunday, a video was posted to Snapchat of her smiling and singing.

Her sister, Cindy Rodriguez, said that Liliana had a bright future ahead of her.

Rodriguez said, "They took the life of my sister. She was just 18, her birthday was the 20th of July. She was so young."

Rodriguez said her sister dreamed of working in the medical field one day.

Rodriguez said, "She never had problems with nobody. She was a really happy person and always caring about others."

On Friday Liliana's brother, Rodrigo, decided to take her out on the town to La Mansion Hall Club on Antioch Pike.

Around 5 in the morning they left. Police said they were followed down I-24 where a shooter in a G35 Infiniti opened fire.

Liliana was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died. Rodrigo, and the two other passengers were uninjured.

Rodriguez said, "I mean nothing can bring her back... I feel sad and happy at the same time because she gave me a kiss before she left home and she really was happy."

Police believe the shooting is tied to the after hours club.

However, witnesses told investigators they weren't involved in any confrontations there.

Rodriguez said, "I don't know why they went there."

In the Snapchat video posted by one of the passengers, Liliana is singing and appears to be happy around 2:52 in the morning. It's been viewed by thousands of people after it was posted to Facebook.

Cindy sent us the video. She hopes someone will see this story and have answers.

Rodriguez said, "If someone knows the car or the people that did this or know about the people that were driving the car to let them know."
