WESTMORELAND, Tenn. (WTVF) — A community festival in Westmoreland hopes to raise donations for the families of the victims in the grisly murders that took place there in April.
The Westmoreland festival featured hay ride ferries, bounce houses and carnival games, a hot dog eating contest, a cornhole tournament, a silent auction and live music, as well as a yard sale, bake sale and arts and crafts sale.
Money raised at the festival will go toward funeral expenses for the eight victims and the medical bills for the sole survivor of the murders, Mary Sue Hosale.
It was originally planned for the entire weekend, but was recently cut back to just June 22.
For more information on the festival, you can visit the Faith Over Fear website.
This isn't the only event that has been held for the victims of the Westmoreland murders. A vigil was also held for them last month.
