NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a fire in East Nashville. It was one of three fires that broke out in the Nashville area Wednesday.
The firefighter was treated for minor burns to his hands Wednesday afternoon after responding to a house fire on the 700 block of Myrtle Street.
Officials say the inside of the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. They had to peel back the roof and fight the fire from the outside. Three people were in the house at the time the fire broke out but got out safely.
Just before the Myrtle Avenue fire, crews responded to the 4800 block of Buena Vista Pike where a building caught fire. Firefighters worked to keep the flames from spreading to nearby buildings and the grass around it. They building appeared to be a barn or vacant home.
And early Wednesday morning, a home was destroyed in Goodlettsville on Cambridge Court. No one was hurt, but officials said the home was a total loss.
