Bluegrass pickers descended on downtown Gallatin for the Pre-Eclipse Bluegrass Street Jam.
Twelve different groups played on five stages around downtown Gallatin on Saturday night.
It was all to celebrate before the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21.
During the eclipse, Gallatin has been expected to have an eclipse totality of 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
The mayor of Gallatin, Paige Brown, said music was a great way to showcase local talent and attract visitors.
"Bluegrass is something that is in our DNA, and we know our visitors will enjoy it as much as we do," said Mayor Brown. "I'm looking at this as a kind of litmus test for how popular Bluegrass is. If it's embraced by the community and our visitors, it might be time to explore adding more attractions like this in the future."
Several viewing events have been planned near Gallatin on Monday, including events at Gallatin's Triple Creek Park, Vol State, and Sumner Crest Winery in Portland.
