A flight carrying 26 Tennessee veterans landed safely overnight at Nashville International Airport.
The group traveled to Washington, D.C. Wednesday on an honor flight. Despite a busy day, starting at 2 a.m. for some and lasting past midnight, the veterans said the experience was worth it.

“[This] 92-year-old veteran had the time of his life today. He did everything possible. He's a trooper in World War II and he's a trooper today," one man said.
Honor flights take veterans to see war memorials in the nation’s capital at no charge to them.
