NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — February may be coming to an end but we still haven’t seen the end of cold temperatures. Another cold blast is headed our way next week.
After a near-record high of 74 degrees on Wednesday – the record, 78 degrees, was set back in 1981 – temperatures will hold steady Thursday. Most areas will stay in the 40s throughout the day.
Friday and Saturday will be mostly dry but showers return overnight into Sunday – and with that, much colder temperatures.
As that cold air arrives Sunday night, a few snowflakes may mix in.
Highs for early next week will only be in the 30s with overnight lows dropping into the teens for a few nights.
