(WTVF) — JCPenney is the latest retailer to announce they're hiring seasonal workers for the holiday season. The company says they're hiring "as many as 700 seasonal associates" across Tennessee, and 100 in Nashville.
Available positions include cashiers, replenishment specialists, beauty consultants and more. JCPenney says they offer seasonal associates a full associate discount up to 25 percent, as well as flexible holiday scheduling.
They're hosting a National Hiring Day Event on Tuesday, October 15th from 2-8 p.m. Management will be holding in-person interviews and making employment offers to qualified candidates "on the spot." You can apply online or at an in-store kiosk prior to the event.
This is just the latest in major companies announcing holiday hiring: Best Buy has announced job fairs happening today, (Friday) UPS and Target say they're hiring more than 100,000 employees each nationally for the holiday season, among several other companies including Gap, Kohl's and Macy's.
