An overnight shooting during a party at an apartment complex left five people injured.
Authorities with the Murfreesboro Police Department said the incident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at the Aspen Heights apartment complex in the 1900 block of Old Castle Drive.

Officers said a fight had broken out during a party, and multiple people had been shot.
According to reports, one victim had serious injuries and was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. That victim’s condition was unknown.
Four other people had non-life threatening injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities remained on the scene investigating to discover the identity of the shooter and those involved.
