It's a cold case nearly 14 years old, but a Mid-State community has stood as one as they continued to hope for a break in the case.
Charles Sharp's mysterious disappearance from Mount Pleasant has now been classified as a homicide.
Sharp was last seen at his father’s home in 2002.
Saturday evening, friends and family of Sharp came together to hold a candlelight vigil in his honor.
While his family said they've learned to live with a lot of questions that still remain surrounding Sharp's apparent death, they were glad to see so many people show up to support them.
“It's hard to think what somebody’s really done to him,” said Ronald Sharp, Charles’ brother. “We really don't know what happened.”
Mount Pleasant detectives said they're still working to find out what's behind the disappearance and homicide of Charles Sharp. If anyone has information about his disappearance, detectives said they want to hear from you.
