Officials in Houston County have been searching for a missing, endangered elderly man.
Authorities said 84-year-old James P. Downey left his home in Tennessee Ridge around noon Wednesday and headed toward Arkansas.
Reports stated he’s driving a 2013 silver Dodge Avenger with Tennessee tag 6770DD7.
Downey was described as standing around 6’1’’ tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds with green eyes and grey hair.
Officials said he does not have his medication or insulin with him. Reports stated he’s insulin dependent and has dementia.
Authorities added he has a gun carry permit and possibly has a weapon with him.
According to reports, he should have traveled through Waverly and Memphis. He will possibly travel through Conway, Arkansas as he heads to Warren, Arkansas.
