The man in charge of Nashville Bike Week has been placed in jail.

Mike Leffingwell, also known as Mike Axle, was arrested Monday afternoon in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Deputies took him into custody at the Country Hearth Inn where he was staying near the National Corvette Museum.

The Humphreys County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee helped with the arrest.

They've been investigating Leffingwell since they started getting complaints about Nashville Bike Week, the motorcycle and music festival set for September. Its original location was supposed to be in Humphreys County. Since then, at least three locations have fallen through, and right now, there has been no known site for the event.

Leffingwell has had a long criminal history, mostly theft charges. At the time of his arrest, Leffingwell had outstanding warrants out of Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Georgia.

He was being held in the Warren County, Kentucky jail without bond.
