Around 100 Red Cross volunteers across Tennessee have been waiting to be deployed to help people affected by Hurricane Harvey.
On Sunday, those with the Red Cross said they have planned to leave between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Monday to head to Texas in response to catastrophic flooding and storm damage.
They will be leaving from their location in the 2200 block of Charlotte Avenue.
Reports stated more than 1,800 people took refuge in 34 Red Cross and community shelters in Texas on Saturday night.
Nine emergency response vehicles have already been loaded with food, water, and personal hygiene products.
Many trailers full of shelter supplies, including cots and blankets, have already arrived in Texas. There was enough to support more than 28,000 people.
