Police said they believe a double fatal shooting in East Nashville was a domestic-related murder-suicide.
Officers confirmed one man, identified as Andrew Tucker, died at the scene from a gunshot wound. A female, identified as 41-year-old Amy Williams, was also shot in the 1500 block of Fatherland Street.
Williams was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
According to a Metro Nashville Police captain, several people who live near Fatherland Street and 15th Street called 911 to report gunfire around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
Reports stated police believe Williams was fatally wounded by Tucker, her ex-boyfriend, outside her home. Tucker then allegedly shot himself.
A truck involved in the fatal shooting was towed from the scene around 4 a.m. on Sunday.
The investigation remained ongoing. Officials said the two had no domestic history with the Metro Nashville Police Department.
