The countdown is on to Super Bowl 50 and there's one player folks around Middle Tennessee might recognize.
Robert Myers Jr. was picked up by the Denver Broncos right before the regular season ended. He's a former offensive lineman for TSU, starting 35 games in his 4-year college career. He graduated from La Vergne High School.
And he didn't just pick up his football skills in Nashville, he also picked up a pretty unique nickname.

"We'd be in the cafeteria and he'd be the first one there and the last one to leave and he was always grabbing stuff out of his pockets and I'm like 'son do you ever stop eating?' And I just started calling him snacks and it caught on," laugh TSU Football coach Rod Reed.
"Snacks" still sports jersey number 70, even in the NFL.
The Super Bowl will run live on NewsChannel 5 Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
