ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WTVF) — "Sign a song" founders Kaylee Magro and Kiley Scott came up with this concept a few months ago. They wanted to put on a concert series for those who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

"I've heard way too many stories where it really wasn't an equal and inclusive environment," said Kiley Scott.

The two joined forces with volunteers to put on this music festival on Pond Creek Road in Ashland City. There will be about five artists playing their music and a performer signing to the song right next to the artist. The concert is equipped with soundpacks. The soundpacks plugs into the PA system and vibrates with each song so not only do you see the performance but can feel it.

"Far too often we have deaf people go to concerts and they request an interpreter but then they're subject to sticky things like having the interpreter or proper seating," said Scott.

Right now the "Signing All Summer" Concert Series is made possible through volunteers and donations. It is also paid for by the founders. There will be another show on July 23rd and on August 23rd. For more information on how you can attend or help donate, go on their facebook page.

"For me, God put a fire in my stomach and when we knew we wanted to do this for deaf individuals that fire sparked all of this," said Kaylee Magro.

The concerts are from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM and free to the public. If you want to donate to the cause, you can click here.
