Man arrested in 2018 hotel shooting death

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man has been indicted for murder after a man was shot inside his pickup truck at a Nashville hotel in 2018.

24-year-old Robert Goodner was arrested Tuesday at a motel on Brick Church Pike by MNPD Gand Unit detectives.

Goodner was wanted in the shooting death of 50-year-old Robert Harper in February 2018. The shooting happened while Harper was sitting in his pickup truck outside of the Ravin Hotel also on Brick Church Pike.

Metro Police identified Goodner as the shooter following months of investigation.

According to police, robbery is believed to be the motive behind the shooting.
