More: 2 Shot After Alleged Attempt To Serve Warrants
Police said 24-year-old Jalen Johnson succumbed to his injuries Sunday. He and another person were apparently shot during an attempt to serve warrants.
Detectives said they’re still trying to sort out the details. They believe the incident stemmed from bail bondsmen attempting to serve warrants to a man in a Nissan.
At some point, shots were fired and the Nissan fled from the scene – almost hitting two people.
That’s when the bail bond agents got into separate vehicles and chased the Nissan on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Authorities said the Nissan stopped around the 2400 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard. That’s when it was discovered that two men inside the Nissan had been shot.
Johnson was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second man was treated and released.
Police said no charges have been filed at this time
