Springer's wife called police to report him missing when he didn't return home from getting dinner last week. Officials found that he made it to the Subway sandwich shop but didn't make it back. He was found dead from a gunshot wound the following morning on the side of West Hamilton Road near Drakes Branch Road by a resident walking in the area.

Springer’s 2017 blue Nissan Rogue was missing until Sunday when it was found burned and mostly unrecognizable in an alley off Scovel Street in North Nashville.

Detectives are hoping to talk to Sykes. Officers have tried to find him for the past several days but haven't been able to. Anyone who may see Sykes or knows where he is was asked to call Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
