Memphis man ID’d as suspect in Murfreesboro Pike shootout

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police said a Memphis man has been identified as a suspect in a shootout that injured two bystanders in Nashville.

The shooting happened on January 19 at the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and Millwood Drive.

Police said 23-year-old Courtney L. Davis, who is last known to have lived on Ragan Street in Memphis, was seen on surveillance video getting out of a red Buick and exchanged shots with others across Millwood Drive in a Taco Bell parking lot.

Two innocent bystanders were injured in the shooting -- a person in a pickup truck suffered a non-critical wound to the head and a person at a nearby gas pump was shot in the shoulder.

Investigators said Davis faces three counts of felony aggravated assault.
