Metro police are investigating a shooting in south Nashville.
Police say the victim was walking near the K building in Whispering Hills Apartments around 12:00 a.m. Monday when 3 black men attempted to rob him.
Investigators say the victim was hit in the head with a pistol and shot in the leg and foot.
Police say he was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is in stable condition.
Officers say the suspects didn't take anything from the victim and fled the scene in a red vehicle.
