NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Dave Kremer says he could have been killed after his fall a few days ago while he was setting up a tree stand ahead of deer hunting season.

He was knocked unconscious, but Kremer says he's alive today because of the resourcefulness of his 12-year-old son Jake who was there to call for help.

Kremer says Jake found the keys to their ATV, and went to find his dad's phone in their truck, when he called 911 and directed EMTs to where they were.

Jake says the help from the EMTs and praying helped get him through the ordeal.

After a few nights in the hospital, Dave was released to go home on Tuesday.
