Trump dinner includes warning for North Korea

President Donald Trump voiced concern regarding isolated nation North Korea at a private dinner with a small group of reporters. 

Trump dined Monday evening with 18 reporters from regional TV affiliates around the country. The guest list included three reporters from The E.W. Scripps Company.

At the dinner, Trump said “North Korea is a world menace, it is a world problem,” adding that the country has to be dealt with and “has to be dealt with soon." The comments came as part of a wide-ranging conversation that served as a prelude to Tuesday's address before Congress. 

 

 

North Korea tested Trump's resolve early in his presidency by reportedly firing a ballistic missile a few weeks ago. The incident happened while Trump was hosting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
