CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Clarksville topped Money Magazine’s list of the best places to live in the U.S.
The personal finance magazine compiled a list of 100 cities, towns and neighborhoods of where you “should – and can afford to – settle down.” Clarksville took the top spot on the list because of its economy and cost of living.
“Clarksville, Tennessee might not be on your radar yet, but it should be. To all the millennials moving in, the city of about 160,000 people is a place they can afford to plant down roots,” according to Money Magazine.
Money Magazine also says the average age is 29.
“It’s clear the word is out about Clarksville,” Mayor Joe Pitts said. “This great honor from Money magazine reinforces what we’ve known about our community for a long time. Clarksville is a great place to buy a home, get a job, start a business and send your children to top-rated schools.”
Bellevue also made the list at 31 and Bowling Green came in at 39.
