Posted

Murfreesboro officials broke ground on a new elementary school to help accommodate the city's growth.

The two-story school along Saint Andrews Drive will be designed for up to 1,000 students with a 25-acre campus.

Currently, all three schools that serve the communities west of I-24 are at capacity.

The $27 Million school, which will be named this fall, is slated to open for the 2019 - 2020 school year.
