SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Springfield police have asked the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting and subsequent crash from earlier in the week.

The shooting happened Wednesday night near 16th Avenue and Shelton Street. Officers were called to the scene after a vehicle crashed into the front of a home. Three teenagers were taken to area hospitals, but one of them later died.

Spring police identified two suspects in the case – 20-year-old Klyjuan Smith and 18-year-old Maleque Hudson. Both suspects will be charged with one count of criminal homicide.

Smith has been arrested and was booked into the Robertson County Jail.

Police said Hudson is still on the run and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have information on his whereabouts, contact the Springfield Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (615) 384-8422.
